About ourselves:
KG MOUNTAIN EXPEDITIONS is a locally owned company and operated by James Kagambi (KG) a professional mountain climber and an outdoor instructor who has summited 3 highest peaks in 3 continents. He has also represented Africa in the U.N PEACE CLIMB FOR THE WORLD on the Eiger in 1992. KG had worked for NOLS Africa for ten years as an Instructor and is still teaching mountaineering with NOLS in Chile and the USA.

We are at the forefront of promoting Eco-tourism and so all income we get ends up in East Africa and so benefits the local population.

We are experts in the providing high quality and personalised services in the following areas:

Mt Kenya, Kilimanjaro, Aberdares, Loita, The Serengeti, Mara ecosystem,Ngorongoro, the great Rift valley lakes, Samburu, Amboseli and other parks of East Africa, Rwenzoris Mt Elgon white water rafting in the Waso Ng’iro and Malewa rivers and others.

Climb and go on safaris with locals.........And we are the safest in remote areas;Simply its our home.

- What s more! If you book for a safari after a mountain hike your guide on the mountain will be with you through safari and you will be offered a discount.
- All the foods served on our safaris and mountain climbs/treks are organic and are sourced from the small scale farmers around Mount Kenya.

On top of the above we do luxurious camping mountain trips on Mount Kenya and on the safari at extra costs.

KG Mountain expeditions has outfitted more than 10-film crew among them Discovery Channel and BBC on Mount Kenya.
