Expeditions has qualified professional guides
who are trained to lead on rock climbing expeditions to Batian
and Nelion on Mount Kenya. The Guides have undergone training
with NOLS Africa.
All clients intending to Summit Batian and Nelion need
to be 5.9 American Standard climbers or hard server European
standard. You need at least two days plus normal hiking time
(see mt Kenya pages) for Batian and or Nelion.
We also
offer on request classes for Rock Climbing at Hells Gate
National Park. |
Best times of the year to Rock Climb on Mount
Kenya
Mid December to Mid April -
You may summit via the normal route or the South west
ridge.
June to
September - The North face standard is the route in
season.

Equipment
All clients must
provide own harnesses, two locking binners, a belaying/ rapel system
and a sling. These however are availbale on rental basis.
