Educational Trips & Trainings
Our main trips are rooted on learning in-order to maximize wilderness experience. We lead extended trips around East Africa designed for gap year students and those looking for an opportunity to gain some bush skills and cultural experiences.
Trips may focus on Maasai culture, food collection and hunting with the Hadza-be people, Leave No Trace practices, Sailing programs, participating in conservation projects and community education programs. A major component of these educational trips are based on responsible traveling. Our values are guided by the environmental ethics of Leave No Trace aligned to the Principles of Leave No Trace from the Leave No Trace Centre for Outdoor Ethics.
Many of our voluntourism trips give travelers the chance to get to know people of a different cultural background who are living traditional lives. At each occasion your guide will introduce you to the local community in a sensitive and insightful way. We only work with community development initiatives that are beneficial to both our visitors and their hosts. These communities that we work with explicate ideals of community and the spirit of Africa of collectivism and sustainability.
Request a customized itinerary for a course/program ranging from 2 weeks – 3 months in the rural and wilderness areas of Tanzania. Maybe it be working in school in Gelai in north Tanzania or working with a women program in Narosora in Loita in Kenya; we have a program for all travelers of all ages, background and personal interests.
