We have been running climbing and trekking trips for over 40 yrs and have over this period become the most respected mountain outfitter for Mt Kenya. KG Mountain Expeditions has over its service time been involved in training of most trekking guides on Mt Kenya. KG has been involved at personal level and also through NOLS trained the climbing guides on Mt Kenya.
KG Mountain Expeditions has been leading large and successful expeditions to Kilimanjaro for over 20 years. We provide the services on all routes but majorly using Lemosho and Machame routes. Our treks are well organized to give you a reasonably high success rate for summiting. We use experienced guides and the itineraries are customized to allow generous amount of time for acclimatization.

The Rwenzori Mountains lie along the western border of Uganda and rise to a height of 5,109 metres. Here are the legendary ‘Mountains of the Moon’, a World Heritage Site and these incomparable, beautiful, mist, shrouded peaks provide a unique backdrop to one of our most magnificent national parks. In the centre of the range, which boasts Africa’s third highest mountain, six peaks carry permanent snow three with glaciers, while the lower slopes are covered with dense forest. Walking trails on the lower slopes do not call for mountaineering experience; although the higher you go the fitter you need to be.
East Africa offers amazing landscapes and backpacking terrain. You will be indulged animal tracking, naturalist walks and discourse on the ecosystems in general.
In Kenya and Tanzania you will be guided by our professional guides alongside hospitable tribal people. Our walks are typically in the heart of Masai land of South Kenya and northern Tanzania.
